HOF Apollo is charismatic, well mannered, and talented stallion who truly enjoys showing and everything to do with shows. He seems happiest when he is involved in the chaos that comes with competition. He is so talented as a performance sporthorse. Apollo will awe you one day by floating like a Pegasus over jumps, and take your breath away the next by gracefully striding like a ballroom dancer through the dressage arena.
BACKGROUNDHOF Apollo was given to C&H Ranch by Jessi in 2001. He holds the honor of being the first Trakhener stallion in HF, and we were thrilled to recieve the gracious gift of such an outstanding horse. His first foals were the first HF bred Trakhener foals. Apollo's lineage is humble and not very well known. His sire sustained a back injury that made competition not longer an option, and his dam was strickly a brood mare. Apollo has more than made up for their lack of apprearance on the show scene.
THE SHOW HORSEAs a show horse, Apollo shows great fortitude and a serious competitive attitude. His show record is littered with championships and reserves, being a three-time National Champion, and a five-time Reserve National Champion. He has an immense jumping power that rockets him so high that he very rarely clips a jump. His coordination and floating action make him a great dressage horse as well, earning him the Musical Freestyle FEI National Champion title.
Apollo loves competing, and all the activity that goes along with it. We decided to retire him upon his obtainment of Hall Of Fame status this year, and he sorely misses it. Expect to see a suprise showing of him once in a while in halter and possibly minor dressage classes though, to keep him happy. He will also be available for Get of Sire classes upon request. THE SIREHOF Apollo has sired fifteen foals. They have had impeccable conformation, incredible athletic abilities, and an intense sense of competition. They show great aptitude with dressage, have amazing verticle power, and are quite fast. They are perfect for three-day eventing.
