C&H Ranch is thrilled to have HOF Mirage call our ranch his home. He is a wonderfully athletic and a real gentleman with good manners. Rarely does he not end up the center of attention wherever we go, which is greatly in part due to his beautiful and rare coloring. Mirage is an incredible luminous silver grey, so dazzling and bright in the sun that one never forgets him once they see him. Lucky for breeders, Mirage has shown his abilities to pass this beautiful color onto many of his foals.
BACKGROUND
We first met Mirage in 1998 at a competition where he was being lightly shown. Of course, we immediately fell in love and never forgot him. In 1999, we learned he was for sale from Brownland Farm an immediately jumped on the opportunity. It would be a drastic mistake not to. Since then, Mirage has proved time and again his worth as a show horse and sire, and not once have we regretted our decision.
THE SHOW HORSE
Since our purchase of Mirage, he has taken us on a wild ride to heights in the showring we did not imagine. He quickly became a highly decorated Hall Of Fame horse, and is the second highest pointed Warmblood in HF to date. The first is HOF Sayde, a brilliant C&H mare whom Mirage has been crossed with many times to produce some of the most talented sporthorses found in HF. Mirage's abilities are inspiring; he is a very coarse stallion, without the typical Dutch Warmblood style, but a second look a very beautiful horse with the quiet potential for amazing greatness. Which he certianly has, and has shown us through his exciting career as a performance horse.
We are sad to report that Mirage's brilliant show career has come to a close. As of January 1, 2006, we decided to retire Mirage to a full-time breeding stallion. He has already won his share of titles in HF, reached his goal of obtaining HOF status, and is getting on with age. Expect to see a suprise showing of him once in a while in halter classes though. THE SIRE
As of February, HOF Mirage has sired forty-one wonderful foals. Many of them display his lovely and rare silver coloring, which is dazzling bright in the sun and can catch the eye clear across competition grounds. Many times we have been approached about Mirage because of his unique and striking color. As far as siring abilities, Mirage has brough some of the winningest and most athletic foals to HF. Names that are very recognized are Miriam CH and Devil's Mirage CH, both out of C&H's HOF Sayde and owned by Windblown, Kostly Silver CH++ (X HOF Princess Kostalot++), LL Hermeneutic (X LL Autumnal Decadence), Rd Symbolic Mirage CH (X Grand Symbol), Illusive CH (X Innocent Sinner), Perfect Reflection CH (X Perfectly Anonymous CH+/), and more. All have obtained many titles and are champions in their own disciplines.
